The meeting was held at the Salt Palace, the Salt Lake City Convention Center. I stayed at the Little America Hotel and think it, Salt Lake, and the Center deserve rating for those considering the destination.

Salt Lake is gorgeous - the surrounding mountains, still very snow-capped in late June ('08), were magnificent to behold.

The Little America Hotel is ok - not fabulous but ok. What I liked about it: a really nice "coffee shop" that, on Sunday when I arrived in the afternoon, gave the option of breakfast or lunch. I had one of THE best cobb salads I've ever had and even the requested plain olive oil and Balsamic vinegar on the side as requested.

My room was comfortable - which for me means good HVAC (esp. on 95+ degree days)although the decor was interesting. Hard to describe - but a bit dated in decor.

Internet access was not so good. It was slow.

The Salt Palace, where I've presented before, is ok but seems a bit dated as well. Service was slow - rooms not being refreshed after or between sessions until RIGHT before the next session started and even then, it was spotty.

The worst part: transportation. When I exited the airport on Sun. there were only 2 taxis. At the Little America, and at the Radisson at which I tried to get a cab back to the Little America after presenting at the Center, NONE. No really - none. There is a car service that is used and they are sometimes available but not always. That was frustrating.

Overall, I gave the hotel, Center, and city a 3. I'd be very cautious in bringing a group to Salt Lake.
