THE Hotel Monday, 18 August 2008 Written by preger - Top 50 Reviewer Service level at THEHotel was very good. This property feels much less chaotic than many of the LV properties where I've stayed. I feel a sense of calm while I'm there. I love the rooms at this property, though shower leakage and slow drains concerned me! Room service had service better than most, but food quality was sometimes disappointing. High speed was not reliable. The walk from THEHotel to the convention center is looong. Someone used their pedometer to estimate that it's a 1 mile walk. No getting around it, so put on those comfy shoes and go! I was very pleasantly surprised by the lunch provided on the show floor -- tasty, creative, and MUCH better than any other show floor meal I've experienced. Duration:

You can always find something good Tuesday, 11 March 2008 Written by JoanEisenstodt - Top 10 Reviewer What's good: 1) The staff in TH and MB are well-trained and overall, efficient and friendly. They want to serve and in spite of the massive amounts of walking they must do, seem genuinely glad to see and help guests. 2) Banquet food is consistently good in MB. At a buffet lunch, the food was well-prepared and fresh and tasty. 3)The business center in MB's convention center is well situated and tho' the prices are high to use their internet, they have been generous in allowing shipping labels and boarding passes to be printed at no charge. 4) The meeting space is now non-smoking! HOORAY! What's so-so: 1) Meeting space, even with hard walls, is not sound-proof. 2) If there are meeting rooms w/ windows, I've never used one. 3) Lighting is awful and does not create an ambience for learning. What is not so good about TH: It's the 'upgraded' area of MB and is an all suite property. The larger space is great .. but... 1) High speed access is iffy. It's wired and has been totally inconsistent. The cost? $12.99+/day. 2) Room service food is also marginal. It's been hit and miss - dinner on two nights had overcooked vegetables and tasteless meat. (Service is good.) 3) The stall showers leak - everytime I've been here. 4) The walk from MB or TH to the MB Conv Center is 'millions of miles' - only a slight exaggeration. You know that large hotel in Nashville that everyone groans about? MULTIPLY those walks by a factor of 10 and you get it. Las Vegas is not my favorite city - the excesses are .. excesses if one stays on the Strip which is likely since that's where the meetings/conventions are held. TH and MB are big, with TH being more civlized in style than MB. That said, during Spring Break it is filled w/ students who are intent on partying much to the dismay of many business travelers. Consider these properties carefully. Duration:
