Expectations....

and realities are often quite different. Once I am out of airports today (Saturday 12 June) I will write a review of a hotel in which I just stayed and where I facilitated a meeting for a client.
It has to do with expectations and the realities of a hotel, where you may have stayed before or even had a meeting. It has to do with a brand name that purports to be a higher end especially with this particular brand. It was, if you want a hint (and a b-r-o-a-d hint it is), that particular brand that was the first with THE bed.
Here's the irony: my expectations far exceeded my experience in the hotel.
And today, when I flew United Express Plus for the first time (w/ great trepidation as a storm raged outside the airport) I was more than pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. The plane and its seats (I had upgraded) was far more comfortable than I expected - in fact, I felt "cocooned" and safe. Tim, one of the flight attendants, had the perfect calm and warmth for all of us who were a bit concerned about what the ride might entail.
Chuckling to myself and shrugging my shoulders at how some things turn out better than others while others ....
Watch for the review - it will be in the Indianapolis section.
