Ok -fine some good economic news for me.  I mean it - right now! 

Some have said I'm being too "doom and gloom-y" - that if we don't start talking positively, we'll never get out of this hole we are in.

Rachel Maddow, on her MSNBC show, uses the line "talk me down" every night she's on. She, like I, wants to find the positive or at least the better look at some issue.

 Many religions and cultures observe the beginning of a 'new year' at different times, yet today, 31 December, is the day on which most believe one year ends and, at the stroke of midnight, a new year begins.

This new year is a bit tricky: we need a 'leap second' to get to 2009. I for one am grateful for this additional time.

Free wi-fi and soundproofed windows and walls AND connecting doors when one gets a room w/ a connector.
Add to that:
1) Staff - ALL staff - trained to answer questions about safety and security first and all other issues later.
2) Safe, secure
