InterContinental Paris Le Grand: In Room Maintenance Concerns

I stayed in the hotel for nearly 1 week and it was a great experience, but I do have comments to make on the room maintenance. Knowing that the hotel was completely renovated a few years ago, I was shocked to see in what detrimental conditions the Bathroom door was in my room. I couldn't even with stand taking pictures of it as it was so bad. Major paint chippings missing and all it takes is 5€ paint can to fix this. This is unacceptable in a 5 star deluxe hotel of this caliber especially with the prices that are being charged!

Hotel staff was very well organized, responsive and attentive. Location is excellent for getting to and from major sites and venues in Paris. Panoramic view of Seine and left bank. Physical elements are showing age and undergoing facelift. Immediate surroundings are undergoing transition that can be a bit unnerving. While the area seemed completely safe for pedestrian travel, some areas were under major renovation and one felt like they were in the midst of a lot of construction.

The location in Paris is perfect. Walk in any direction and find the treasures of Paris.
Service is very attentive, very nice facilities and renovated probably in 2005.
The rooms tend to be 'city-small- but very well appointed and even after 6 days did not feel uncomfortable. Very quiet.
This was an overflow hotel and very happy to have stayed there.
Fitness Center and pool.

Westin Paris: Be aware of the rodents...

Bethany is correct in saying the Westin Paris is in a great location. However, I stayed here in June for a citywide medical congress and I had a rat in my room 2 different nights, giving the word ratatouille a new definition! Also, a colleague of mine saw one in a meeting room on the
Mez level. The only excuse the hotel would be able to use is that they are undergoing room renovations and it may have "stirred" up the rodents Otherwise, hotel is beautiful and Lobby level meeting rooms are ornate and lovely.

The Westin Paris was an excellent choice. Location couldn't be better, across from the Jardin Tuilleries and walking distance to The Louvre and Champs Elysees. My room was good: comfortable bed, appropriate amenities, balcony with a view of the Eiffel Tower. My sink was stopped up and I did not report it. After one day, it was fixed. Housekeeping services were excellent. Meeting space was beautiful and conference services seemed on their game. Food was first rate. Overall, an excellent choice for business or leisure.

Great lobby and outlet's for food & beverage.
