Four Seasons Resort Aviara: Overwhelming experience

This property took fabulous care of us from the initial contact through the final billing and beyond. We essentially had a buyout situation for an incentive program, and all of the staff went above and beyond, created a true Four Seasons experience and helped us to "wow" our guests. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone - the staff worked with us easily on all of our requests, fulfilled every promise with grace and made it one of the best programs I've ever planned.

The planning process was easy - my CSM returned my calls promptly. Onsite - rooms were set according to my specs and if not early, on time. Staff were extremely friendly to all attendees. Overall experience - great.

Omni Hotel San Diego: Omni Stay during ASAE

I attended ASAE's Annual Meeting and had the pleasure of staying at the Omni. As a business traveler I appreciated the extra outlets on the desk, the free Wi-Fi and the business center. The hotel treated its guests well - a delightful piece of fruit and water as an amenity and when lines were long in the lobby, I saw the General Manager jump in and help guests retrieve their luggage. All the staff was very pleasant and helpful.

I did not see their meeting space.

The only complaint I had was the location of the HVAC vent which blew directly on me (and my neck) while working at the desk. I had to turn off the air conditioning whenever sitting at the desk.

Stayed here for ASAE Annual Meeting and loved the location. It was just across the street from the Convention Center, so no need for transportation. The guest rooms were spacious, and the high speed internet was free! How often do you find that in a full-service hotel? I also liked that it was in the Gaslamp District. I could easily walk to all supplier events, as well as find great little places for dinner or shopping.

Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Downtown: Great service

This was one of the blocked hotels for a program I attended, not the actual meeting hotel, so I can't comment on it as a meeting locale. But from a guest point of view, it is beautiful, clean, close to everything, and the service was impeccable. My only beef is that the elevators are down several steps from the lobby, which makes it a pain to lug luggage up and down. But it has a wonderful historic ambiance (and the chicken quesadillas are excellent).

Two thumbs up from this reviewer.

Have booked this hotel for and held multiple association annual meetings here. The space is excellent for a single-property meeting of about 1200 with exhibits, general sessions, meals/events and concurrent sessions. Service, location, food, etc. are all above average to exceptional. It is my favorite hotel in which to hold meetings - their space is just laid out very well and works oh so well for my smaller association clients' annual meeting needs.
