Hyatt Regency Atlanta: Hyatt Regency Atlanta - Great Experience

The overall experience was great! What impressed me (as well as our staff) the most was that every single staff person you encountered greeted you with a warm smile and hello. They accomodated our needs quickly, even last minute changes and made the experience for our attendees a great one. The food was also excellent!

Intercontinental Buckhead Hotel Atlanta (Georgia): Great service & corporate event ...

I have to admit we had some pre-conference concerns. Communications with our original CSM left something to be desired. But after voicing our concern, a new CSM was assigned, and everything went very smooothly after that. Our group of 300+ persons held 5+ full days of meetings; the layout of the hotel meeting space was well suited, and the service level of the staff was excellent.

Hyatt Regency Hotel Downtown Atlanta (Georgia): Still a good hotel after all these years

I planned a meeting at the Hyatt back in 1993 (during the Storm of the Century for those who remember). I spoke at a meeting here just a couple of weeks ago and was pleased to find it was still a good meeting hotel. The front desk staff was particularly pleasant.

No complaints about the meeting room--at least nothing that could be attributed to the hotel. The group planning the meeting could have better utilized the space and a/v, but that's an aside. The catered lunch was good, though nothing special from my jaded traveler perspective.

One of the best things about this hotel is its location. I took MARTA to and from the airport, which was very convenient (and green and saved the group my taxi fare). The food court attached to the hotel has been handy on many occasions for things I've forgotten or grabbing a snack. The concierge had a great map of area restaurants and I enjoyed a nice Italian meal at Azio around the corner.

I was disappointed that the Hyatt's nice restaurant seems to have changed themes and is now a steakhouse, which is not what I was looking for. I did have a delightful breakfast buffet in the lobby restaurant, though.

Hyatt Regency Hotel Downtown Atlanta (Georgia): Renovation makes a difference; food superb; staffi

I'd not been to the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta since their renovation. It does make a difference. In addition to the more comfortable beds and guestrooms in general, the hotel looked brighter and more welcoming. The staff was superb - restaurant, lounge, meeting CSM and banquet set up, front desk, room service - and seemed to be more on their toes than many hotels I've experienced of late. Food was excellent. I was impressed w/ the innovative menu in the full service restaurant. The banquet food was well-presented and tasty. Only 'flaws': they served water w/ the meal (during Atlanta's serious drought where guests are s'posed to ASK for water not get it automatically) and the 'airwalls' between meeting rooms were not sound-blocking. I'd absolutely consider it again.

2/20/2008 I especially loved this property because it really offered a total professional package. The hotel is lovely, immaculate, ideally set-up for meetings, the service was impeccable, the staff friendly, proactive and just very well trained. It really portrayed and carried out the total package and I would use it over and over again should the clients want to pursue meetings in the Atlanta area. All the staff were especially courteous.
