I am new to the site but this topic caught my eye. One of our concerns with my team is all the recent charges for checked baggage. Now we have to build into our budget checked bag fees...or do we? If we "invite" a sales producer to an incentive should he/she have to pay for one piece of luggage to get on the plane or should we as a company incur that cost?
If we have 400 qualifiers at $15-20 a bag that could be $6-8k increase to our budgets that have zero room to grow as it is. What about golf clubs if people have to pay for their golf clubs to get on a plane they might just opt for rental clubs which we have always picked up at incentives but now the number of rentals could skyrocket. What are other companys doing?
