I agree. I was recently asked whether I thought we should cancel a customer event that I plan. I put all cards on the table: total budget, cost person, pros/cons of keeping or canceling. Then I took a stand, gave my opinion, and backed it up with a plan to keep it while reducing the budget.

Our perspective is so valuable, and often unique in our organizations. Speak up and show your strengths!
