>>Hello all:
I'm a doctoral student about to launch a study on thriving among middle
managers who experienced Hurricane Katrina. I'm hoping to make connections
with senior leaders in gulf coast organizations impacted by Katrina who
would be willing to nominate middle managers in their organizations who
demonstrated evidence of thriving. This study is part of my PhD from the
Fielding Graduate University (www.fielding.edu).
My study will consist of in-person semi-structured interviews with selected
middle managers in late May and early June. The identities of the
individuals I interview and their organizations will remain anonymous.
I will share the results of my study with organizations who participate. I'm
envisioning that the results of this study will help organizations
understand the experiences and perceptions of middle managers who faced
Katrina and factors that helped them thrive. This information will help
organizations answer the question "How can we help our middle managers
increase their leadership capabilities when faced with organizational
adversity?"
If you are interested or know someone who might have interest in my study,
please contact me directly. I have a website setup that more fully explains
my research study:
www.katrinathrivingstudy.org.

Kevin
